Direct Kitchen Products was started in 2005 by David White and Bob Aungst. We have over 20 years experience in the industry. Our background includes: cabinet making, cabinet installation, carpentry, kitchen design, cabinet manufacturer sales, new construction sales, and distribution. As manufacturer’s representatives we knew buying direct was an excellent way to improve buying power, but wasn’t always the best solution for remodelers to increase profits.
The idea for Direct Kitchen Products originated from inquiries we received from remodelers that were interested in buying cabinetry from us through our manufacturer’s representative business, Dovetail Marketing, Inc. They were frustrated with the quality of the relationship they had with their kitchen suppliers and felt they were paying a high price for average service and design. In many cases they were handing an almost complete design to their kitchen retailer, but still paying maximum price for the cabinetry. Or they received a minimal contractor’s discount. The pathway to the best price (buying direct from the manufacturer) was to invest in a showroom and all the overhead costs associated with that, while taking full responsibility for design, ordering and selections. Going direct improved buying power, but came at a high price (showroom) and added responsibility-design, ordering, and selections. What they needed was a way to contribute to overall process, not have full responsibility, and get the best price possible. We developed Direct Kitchen Products around this feedback.

Talk to us about our lowest price guarantee-we will go as low as 5% mark-up above our cost (to clarify what mark-up is see equation-$ 100.00 cost X 5% mark-up=$ 105.00 selling price) to beat the price of a comparable product from another distributor. Yes, we will show you our cost so you do not have any doubts. There are a few other details, but believe me you will find them fair. For instance, a knock down product from China is not equivalent to a fully assembled box from the United States. We will also need to see a detailed cabinet list and or design with wood species, finish, and door design. We reserve the right to add for shipping if delivering outside Pennsylvania or New Jersey.
