HOW THE PROCESS WORKS

Commercial Kitchen - Rita's Italian Ice - Dirct Kitchen Products

We are able to offer the best prices, because our process is based on shared responsibility. Our unique process for selling cabinetry shares the responsibility in the 3 major areas where costs savings can be recognized for the remodeler: the design of the kitchen cabinetry, the cabinetry order, and the selections of wood, color, and features. When parts of these 3 areas are either shared or assumed by the remodeler we can offer the best price possible. We reward the design oriented remodeler and design build contractor for their significant contribution to the kitchen design process.

Completed Kitchen - Direct Kitchen Products

Typically cabinet dealers offer a token contractors discount when you may be actually doing 70-90% of the design as you gather information about your customer preferences. The kitchen dealer takes this information and enters it into their cabinet design program so your customer can visualize the end result. They also offer the service of their showroom for more detailed design ideas and color selections-for this most remodelers pay a premium. We offer the same services, but at steeply discounted wholesale pricing. We can do this, because your contribution saves us time and money, and we pass those savings on. Here is how our process can work for you:

overview An Overview of How the Process Works:

  1. You gather information from your client for things like-appliances, door openings, walls to be built or removed, color scheme, material preferences, cabinet layout etc…so you can help them with an overall job budget. You know where plumbing is, any limitations that may exist in moving it, ventilation issues, electrical requirements for lighting and budget implications of these changing these items.
  2. You can either give us the information to design the kitchen (see process below for when Remodeler designs and when DKP designs) or you design using either a CAD program or cabinet design software. If we are the designer we will produce professional drawings using the kitchen design software 2020. The design will have all the detail you need to check measurements and make sure all design components have been included. Also, you will get 3 dimensional renderings that help make the kitchen come to life. If you are the designer we are there to support you for tricky items like appliance panels, custom hoods, and one piece furniture islands. And for the more simple, but still critical accessories like roll-out shelves, trash and recycling centers, and drawer organizers. Whether you choose to design or have us design we have templates for gathering the critical information to make the process simple.
  3. You are in control of the budget, design, and construction. More importantly you have maximized your profit and relationship with your customer.
  4. Final details are confirmed.
  5. You submit order to us, we review cabinet specifications like hinging, finished ends and sizes, and then we submit to manufacturer.

  3. Use measurements for kitchen factoring in ceiling height, window (s), openings, flooring soffit etc…Our questionnaire serves as a checklist in getting this information.
  4. Using a CAD program, 2020, or a two dimensional line drawing to put customer feedback into a design. Using manufacturer’s catalog price out job-we will provide training and support necessary to do this accurately. We are happy to check the accuracy of your pricing to make sure you have covered your costs. If you do not have access to a design program to produce 3-dimensional drawings we can do so with 2020 for a fee of $ 150.00.
  5. Once design is complete you have a price and are ready to present to your customer. We will also address lead times at this stage, so you can answer scheduling questions that your customer may have.
  6. We get the job we will place order-lead times vary from 3-7 weeks depending on the manufacturer. Some DKP customers order a door sample at this stage. You can lend it to your customer to aid in the selection of other job materials or simply add it to your collection for future use.
